Amani El Sehrawey O’Neill is the Head of Public Policy for the Middle East at Airbnb, where she oversees the company’s engagement with government partners and stakeholders throughout the region. She works to support the responsible growth of the short-term rental sector, collaborating to shape policies that benefit local communities and strengthen the broader travel ecosystem.

Amani has developed a strong track record in public policy and government affairs in the Middle East, with particular expertise in the GCC. At GHD, a global consulting firm, she led a public policy practice based in Dubai, advising government entities on strategy, policy development, and organizational change. Previously, she worked at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, where she managed the university’s largest public policy collaboration in the region, delivered in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Government.
