Arantxa Calvera has a degree in Law, a PDG from IESE, a master's degree in Territorial Studies and Urbanism from the UPC, and has a Leadership Program at Georgetown University and a master's degree in Public Management Leadership from the UAB, among others. In recent years, she has been the manager of the Barcelona Tourism Consortium from where she has promoted public-private interaction in the tourism sector and has promoted dialogue with economic and social actors involving different perspectives to build alliances and foster cooperation. In the field of international relations, Arantxa Calvera has a global geopolitical vision resulting from years of experience in the European Parliament as an advisor to the Foreign Affairs Committee.

The Catalan Tourism Agency is the government agency of the Generalitat de Catalunya responsible for carrying out tourism promotion policies. It is a public company dependent on the Department of Business and Employment and is constituted by the Generalitat of Catalonia and has the participation of the General Council of Chambers of Commerce of Catalonia, representing the private sector and the territorial entities that have responsibility for promoting the different tourist brands.
