Miguel Ángel Sanz Castedo is the President of the European Travel Commission (ETC) and General Director of the Spanish Tourism Institute (TURESPAÑA). He holds a degree in Business Studies from the United Kingdom and a Master’s in Latin American Politics and Economics from the London School of Economics. Throughout his career, he has lived and worked across Europe, the United States, and Latin America.

In Spain, his work has focused primarily on tourism, marketing, and cultural communication. He has held leadership roles including Director of Marketing and Promotion at Turismo Madrid, Coordinator of Tourism at Promoción Madrid, and Director of Tourism at Madrid Destino. Since 2018, he has also served on the Board of Directors of European Cities Marketing, representing over 120 urban destinations across Europe. He was appointed General Director of TURESPAÑA in 2020 and became President of the ETC in 2023.
